Pool School Gallery is delighted to announce its Summer Clay Scheme with Zoe Williams. Throughout August and early September Zoe is preparing new work for an exhibition. Zoe will be sharing tips, techniques and ways of working in clay with young people from our community. Zoe Williams (b.1983). Lives and works in London and is represented by Antoine Levi Gallery, Paris. Her practice incorporates a range of mediums including moving image, ceramics, drawing and performance. The work is often collaborative in its process and outcome. Her work employs a recurrent symbolic visual language in order to implement a playful interchange between notions of seduction and repulsion, craft, ritual practice, excess and hedonism.
Recent exhibitions include: Sunday Fantasy, Mimosa House, London (2019), Ruffles, performance at Riva Tunnel in Monte-Carlo (2019), The Unruly Glove, the Green Bum and the Sickly Trickle, Antoine Levi, Paris (2018). Playful Aggressions, Greengrassi, London (2019) and Cookbook 2019, La Panacée, Montpellier (2019). In 2020 Zoe travelled to Nepal for a residency organised by Gasworks / Triangle Network in partnership with British Council Nepal.
