If you could design your ideal bedroom as a space that would make you happiest during the lockdown what would it be like?
If there were no limits to its size , to the cost, to it obeying the laws of physics (maybe there is no gravity?) what would it be like?
Maybe it’s a room suspended in the tree tops above a forest? Perhaps it floats on a cloud? Maybe it’s entirely edible? What if it has a river running through it (between your bed and your wardrobe)? Maybe it is the size of a city? Maybe a horse lives in this room with you? What if it existed inside an enormous cake?
There are no rules about this room and how you use it other than:
1) You create this room based on what you feel would make you happiest.
2) You can imagine spending 1 week in this space ...alone!
3) You can have as many animals or imaginary non-human characters (eg: a panda, a unicorn, Hulk, a genie etc) as you’d like, sharing the room with you, but there are no humans able to join you in this room (other than yourself!). But, whenever you want to, you can communicate with your parents, carers, family, friends etc through social media (or by phone calls, Skype, texting etc).
4) You don’t need to worry about meals; whatever you want to eat is provided for you (it appears, as if by magic in a special box near your bed!).
To show your ideas you can use a written description, a collage of pictures, you could record yourself on video or audio describing it, you could use drawing or painting or even make a model, you could use programmes likes Minecraft or Sketchup,...etc etc
Right now, thousands of scientists all over the world are searching for a cure for Coronavirus; “a vaccine.” What if they were all working on this problem in the wrong way? Maybe it’s you who discovers the cure?!!
As you imagine spending time in your ‘No Limits’ bedroom you are able to, by chance, discover the cure for Coronavirus!
You discover it by accident as you explore the space of your bedroom.
What is amazing is how surprising and particular the cure is!!
What might be the most unexpected cure?
Could you find it in the leaf of a plant on your windowsill? Could the cure be found in the pattern of your curtains? Perhaps the cure is the shape of one of your socks? Or is it found in a sound; somewhere in the chorus of your favourite song? Perhaps you find the cure for Coronavirus in the purring of your cat? Or the colour of your hair?
Maybe you find the cure for Coronavirus by saying your own name backwards? Or by thinking about jelly!
So, what might be the strangest and most surprising place or way that you might find the cure for Coronavirus in your imaginary bedroom?
To show your ideas you can use a written description, a collage of pictures, a photo, you could record yourself on video or audio describing it, you could use drawing or painting etc.
