look for the picture above
it is a place holder for a painting/sculpture/print in the Schools Art Collection,
it’s there because there is no documentation of the actual art work
the place holder picture shows the store room of the Royal Cornwall Museum in Truro
there is some information, name of artist, title, medium, size, year.
pick one of the works with a place holder image,
look at the title, imagine what the work looks like, or sounds like, or where it might be?
if you scroll to the bottom of the image you see what medium it is and its dimensions,
does the title and medium make an image in your mind?
make something inspired by the title,
that can replace the picture of the storeroom
jonty will replace the place holder image with what you make to represent it.
practical:
there are a number of routes you could take
here are a couple of suggestions:
make everything up from scratch, from your imagination,
with or without any inspiration from the title, or the name of the artist, medium or year.
research the artist, the title, the location, the year, the medium,
maybe you find a photo of the exact work online,
or the artist, where he/she worked,
be a detective,
then perhaps you might even want to doctor the work or make something else inspired by it.
